to be with you. i'm terrell brown. secretary of state hillary clinton is being treated for a blood clot. doctors found it following a concussion. marlie hall is at presbyterian hospital this morning. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, terrell. mrs. clinton will spend the morning at the hospital as doctors keep her under close watch. they say she'll be under observation for 48 hours. as you mentioned, a blood clot was mentioned after she came in for a routine exam. it was a follow-up actually to a concussion that she suffered earlier this month. now she has been given blood thinners for this blood clot and those blood thinners will take effect and will actually take a few months before they dissipate the blood clot and doctors, as i said will keep her under close observation. >> marlie hall at presbyterian hospital this morning. thank you. >>> meanwhile the final day of fiscal cliff negotiations. hopes of reaching a wide-ranging deal to avoid automatic tax increases and spending cuts is all but gone. without a plan in place by midnight it will cost americans
chairman kwame brown's brother is facing bank fraud charges. chay brown was charged today and his attorney said he plans to plead guilty. he claimed $35,000 in income he never made on a mortgage loan modification q. brown previously was convicted for bank fraud and he was found guilty 20 years ago in a separate case. >>> the prince georges county judge said that governor o'malley does not have to appoint a nominee to fill an empty delegate seat. greg hall was nominated by democratic committee in the county to fill tiffany alston's seat. she left office when she was convicted of misconduct. the governor didn't want to appoint hall. his attorney tried to get the judge to order the appointment but the judge ruled against hall. >>> deadlocked, that is how people on capitol hill are describing talks to avoid the so-called fiscal cliff. the president and republican leaders came out tough today with some tough talk about the other side's plan. fox 5s tom fitzgerald was following the story. 26 more days to go on this. >> reporter: time is running out, shawn. involving a white house and top gop off

and teammate jerry brown. casey stegele is live in arlington, texas. casey? >> reporter: yeah, today, josh brant is expected to bond out of jail. he has a bond hearing set later this morning. police believe that he was driving drunk, late friday night, early saturday morning, which is why he has been charged with intoxication manslaughter. apparently, he was driving his vehicle, not far from cowboys stadium, about a few miles or so, when he was driving at a high rate of speed, according to the police report, his wheel hit a curb. he lost control, flipped and his vehicle caught fire. officers on the scene say that the cowboys' nose tackle then failed the field sobriety test, but his attorney now saying that road construction in the area maybe partially to blame. listen. >> anyone that's been here knows how much construction is going on on 114. it's hazardous. it is not well lit at night. it is difficult to see. i have done tyou don't see these things. it is changing. it is not as if you know it thursday night and it's the same on friday night t. seems to change on an almost daily basis. >>
